Operating Intelli-SMART
Drives Screen: On the right side of the screen, you will be able to see the various parameters that are available on your drive that will be monitored by Intelli-SMART for failure conditions. On this screen, you can also turn on and off the SMART monitoring for the drive by clicking on the SMART enabled button in the bottom of the screen. You can also run short and long SMART tests on the drive by choosing the test in the drop down menu and clicking start - and stop if you wish to end the test early. If you have enabled the failure simulation on the drive configuration screen, this will also be a good way to test your alerter configuration before putting the Intelli-SMART into live service. NOTE: This will show SCSI drives if the controller supports passing SMART data through to the application. Some controllers do not support this feature, and will only display the volumes in Intelli-SMART |
